Wooden handle for dummy-grenade restoration. Made on a machine-tool from a whole piece of beech. This wooden part is for German smoke grenade M24-type or smoke grenade 39 (Nebelhandgranate 39). This handle has ribs on lower end to differ it by touch from a fighting grenade in darkness.
This grenade was sequential from models of World War 1 and it was used during World War 2 as general type. A simplified model (with another handle) appeared 1943.
