Splinter camo cap made by "Replika" in Russia. Fabric has water-repellent impregnation from the inside. 2 pairs of ventilation holes. Olive artificial silk lining.

Visor has standart lenght (6-7 cm, not shortened). Visor insert is made of soft, conformable and resilient material that is water-resistant. The visor is impossible to break down. It keeps its shape when fully bended. And when you bend it back it will become straight almost with no traces.

Some people think that some kind of cardboard should be in the visor, they say, this is correct and according to history. Firstly, there was no cardboard in the originals, but there were composite materials based on paper, cellophane or fabric (different at different times and by different manufacturers). Secondly, our insert gives the cap an authentic look. The visor can be either "broken" or left straight. The cap can be stuffed into your pocket without fear of damaging the visor. Our insert gives the same opportunities as the original, but it is better in consumer properties.

Eyelets (holes in the sides of the cap) can have a different diameter, color and fit (the distance between them) within the historical framework.

Historical reference.

Splinter camo caps were not officialy produced for the Wehrmacht. But some soldiers ordered them privately. They could be made from Zeltbahn (tent) cloth or more lightweight fabric taken from camo smocks or winter parkas. Private makers coult take a standart M43 cap as a model or sometimes tropical or SS models.
